EAAA President concludes his trip to Eritrea

Mr. Yohannes Debesai, EAAA President, has concluded his trip to Eritrea successfully. In his trip from 22nd of May until July 4th of 2005; EAAA president attended independence day at Asmara stadium, talked with regional sport leaders of zoba debub, Maekel, Anseba, Semenawi Keyh Bahri and Gash barka.  Yohannes also talked with Eritrean National Athletics Federation staff and sport commission leaders. He was also part of the Zoba Anseba's schools athletic competition in Keren, Zoba Maekel's schools athletic competitions in Asmara , and the one week long athletic competitions among Eritrean defense Forces.

EAAA conducted competitions of 5000 meters, 3000 meters and 1500 meters among Eritrean runners in Asmara stadium where the top six runners were awarded with shoes, t-shirts and cash award. Runners from zoba maekel, zoba debub, zoba gash barka and defense forces participated.

EAAA presdient was interviewed by Eri-TV Tigrigna service, Eri-TV English, Dimtsi Hafash, Hadas Eritrea and Eritrean Profile. Eri-TV Arabic also covered the news when EAAA handed computer, shoes, t-shirts, Medals, books and magazines to Eritrean National Athletics Federation.

In his interview with Voice of Eritrea of Washington DC on July 23rd of 2005, Mr. Yohannes explained in depth about his trip to Eritrea . Adjeba Gabriel, who bid the highest for Zerisenay t-shirt, also accompanied EAAA president and awarded new shoes to top 25 runners of Keren.

The trip of Mr. Yohannes Debesai to Eritrea was a success for EAAA and Eritrean runners were very thankful for all the support they get from EAAA.
