Yosef Ghebray finished strong at Stanford Invitational: Seven seconds behind his older brother
In the 8K course of Standford Invitational today, the 24th of September, Yosef Ghebray finished strong to 23rd place and only 7 seconds behind his older brother.
Freshman Mark Matusak paced Cal in 17th by touring the 8K course in 24:24. Senior Giliat Ghebray was in 19th (24:27), and his younger brother, Yosef, took 23rd (24:34). Also scoring for the Bears were freshman Jake Schmitt (46th, 25:03) and sophomore Chris Chavez (57th, 25:15).
Yosef joined the UC BERKELY cross country team with his scholarship this year and already started playing role in the team. The website of the school has put the following strong sentence about Yosef: "Ghebray is expected to have an immediate impact." As predicted Yosef is living upto the expectation of his school and EAAA.
